Street food in the UK has come a long way.

Not too long ago, there was a common stereotype that street food in the UK was all about burgers and pizzas. And while we’ll always have love for the classics, the reality today is so much richer.

Street food has evolved into a vibrant celebration of global flavours. And one thing is clear: Asian street food has redefined what we expect from a food truck.

From fragrant Punjabi curries to fiery Filipino BBQ and soulful wok-fried noodles, these flavours are showing up more and more at markets, festivals, and local pop-ups. Whether it’s South Asian, Southeast Asian, or East Asian cuisine, the street food scene in Northamptonshire and Milton Keynes is more diverse (and delicious) than ever.

So if you’re on the hunt for bold, authentic flavour, here are 10 Asian street food vendors you need to try:

  • 🇳🇵Gurkha Street Food – Pillowy momo dumplings and bold Nepali flavours that keep crowds coming back.

  • 🇮🇳 Hyderabadi Dhaba – Grilled tandoori, buttery naan, and rich curries from a chef with over 15 years of experience.

  • 🇵🇭 Chibog – Heartwarming Filipino dishes that taste like family gatherings, from BBQ skewers to pansit noodles.

  • 🇮🇳 RaSoi 6 – Authentic Indian street food made from scratch and served from an Audi RS6-towed food truck.

  • 🇲🇾 Lime Face – Southeast Asian fusion bao buns and satay bowls, with great vegan and gluten-free options.

  • 🏆 Saf’s Kitchen – Multi-award-winning Punjabi street food and Indian fusion with big flavour and a lot of heart.

  • 🇰🇷Maya Street Food – Pan-Asian comfort food like Korean wings, bao buns, and rice bowls, made to share (or not).

  • 🥢 We Will Wok You – Stir-fried noodle and rice boxes with big crunch, big flavour, and customisable sauces.

  • 🥙 Chai Stall – Samosa chaat, loaded naan boxes, and the kind of street food that hits all the right notes.

  • 🥗 Nori Shed – Flavour-packed Asian bowls made from scratch, with house-pickled toppings and seasonal flair.

Gurkha Street Food

If you’ve ever met Kavita from Gurkha Streetfood, you’ll remember her warm smile as well as her garlic chilli chicken, rich curries, and those pillowy momos that always sell out.

Gurkha Streetfood is a staple at local events for a reason and her eye-catching truck is a work of art in itself!

Chibog

"Tara, chibog na!" — Come, let’s eat! That’s the spirit behind Chibog, a Filipino street food pop-up bringing the flavours (and feelings) of home to every dish. Run by Celine and her lovely team, Chibog is more than a food stall, it’s a celebration of Filipino family gatherings. Even the name says it all: “Chibog” is Filipino slang for “food,” often used when inviting others to eat and that’s exactly what they do best.

From smoky BBQ skewers and crispy lumpia (spring rolls) to slow-cooked adobo and pansit noodles, every bite is a tribute to Filipino culture. Expect authentic recipes, heartwarming portions, and plenty of hospitality from Chibog!

The name “RaSoi” means kitchen in Hindi, and everything on their menu is made with love — from scratch — just like it would be at home. Expect traditional Indian street food like pav bhaji, keema tacos, loaded masala fries, and hand-folded samosas with beautifully crisp pastry.

Their twist? A modern fusion menu that’s as exciting as their story. Their taco boats and pav bhaji are personal favourites of many who've visited, offering a fresh take on Indian street classics.

Looking for more Asian street food options?

The biggest challenge with street food isn’t what to eat — it’s where to find it.

And let’s be honest: relying on social media to keep up with your favourite vendors doesn’t always work. Stories expire. Posts get lost.
